Hi Everyone!

It’s been a busy few weeks, and I can’t wait to share with you what’s been happening behind the scenes at AW80W.

Fascinating Stories; Amazing Women

During the past couple of weeks, I’ve been listening to and documenting the inspiring stories of some amazing women.

I’ve had the pleasure of connecting with women from a range of countries, including the USA, France, Ukraine, England, and even the former Republic of Uzbekistan.

It’s been such an enriching experience, and I can’t thank these incredible women enough for taking the time to interact with me.

Using a combination of video calls and written accounts, I’ve been able to learn so much about women from a variety of place,s and I can’t wait to share their inspiring narratives with you!

New Article

A new AW80W story is due to be published in the next few days, and I couldn’t be happier. This article narrates the story of Josie, a trans woman living in Colorado, USA. I appreciated Josie’s honesty, optimism, and desire to connect with her community through the theatre initiative EXPOSED Storytelling.

Watch this space for more details about Josie’s story and her theatre company, including behind-the-scenes information and details about how you can take part in her show.

Coming up…

I’m currently drafting and editing two shiny new articles, which will be out within the next couple of weeks, following insightful interviews conducted earlier this week:

  • Kateryna’s Story from Ukraine
  • Hannah’s Story from Wisconsin, USA

Again, more details on these fascinating stories will follow soon – I‘m excited to share their unique narratives of conflict, politics, religion and healthcare (amongst many other topics) with you!

Future Tense

Once I’ve published Kateryna’s and Hannah’s stories, my focus will be on reading through some written accounts of women from France, England, the former Republic of Uzbekistan, and (fingers crossed) Iran and the Czech Republic.

I can’t wait to be able to share more of these stories with you soon!

All Women Welcome

As always, I’m open to women contacting me to share their stories and the term ’women’ is used in its most inclusive sense.

I’d love to hear your story, so don’t hesitate to reach out by emailing me at AW80W.project@gmail.com or using the contact form on this website.

I particularly encourage those from underrepresented or marginalised groups to take part. It’s important to me that as many diverse voices as possible are heard.

Thank you for reading, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Take care,
Rachel 🙂
