Selection
I will consider all potential participants. If you have a story to share, I’d love to hear it. For anyone selected to take part, I will ask you to email me a short bio covering any topics or areas you’d like to discuss in your article. This will help me create tailored questions in the future.
Sharing Your Story
- Interview Option: We can schedule a video call (such as via Zoom) or phone call at a mutually convenient time. I aim to keep calls under an hour. Ahead of the interview, I will email you a selection of questions as jumping-off points.
- Email Option: If you prefer, I can email you a list of tailored questions to answer at your own pace.
Attribution & Anonymity
- Attribution: AW80W articles are a great way to promote your business, project, or company. They’re also a wonderful space for others to learn more about you in a supportive environment. Following your interview, I will confirm the name you would like me to use, and you can share any websites or social media accounts that you’d like me to link to throughout the article.
- Anonymity: Sometimes, participant anonymity is preferred. In this case, I will ask you to suggest an appropriate pseudonym (alternative name), and I will also use copyright-free stock images throughout the article.
Drafting & Review
Once I have your story, I will begin to draft the article. Turnaround time is typically 6–8 weeks, but it may be longer if I conduct multiple interviews. Once I’ve completed the draft, I will send it to you for review, and we can make any minor edits as needed. At this stage, we can add images to really bring your story to life.
Publication
Your story will be published on Medium via my account @rachelpalmakamace, and the publication Fourth Wave. Once your story is live, I will send you a friend link that gives readers free access without a Medium account, which you’re welcome to share as you wish.
